Live search calls Google directly from your browser. Your key stays in this tab’s memory and is cleared when the tab reloads. It is never sent to a Tahpys server. Google API quotas apply.
This browser trial uses keyword search, posting-date filters and full descriptions. AI planning and video digests are available in the downloaded app with a connected model.

Download & extract.
Unzip Tahpys into its own folder. Install Node.js 22 or later.

Start the local app.
On Windows, run
start-tahpys.bat. On macOS or Linux, runsh start-tahpys.sh. - 3
Connect. Discover. Queue.
Open
localhost:8787, add your YouTube key and connect an AI model if you want AI features.
Your download doesn’t contain anyone else’s keys, accounts or saved feeds.
A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
Before you
fall down a rabbit hole.
Can I find movie news from only the past three days?
Yes. Switch the browser trial to live YouTube search, enter your API key and search “movie news” with Posted set to Past 3 days. The downloaded app also accepts natural-language date requests. The sample library is not a source of current news.
Is Tahpys free?
The browser sample and this beta download are free. Google API quotas apply to live search, and your AI provider may charge for AI use. Future pricing has not been announced.
Does the browser trial use AI?
The trial demonstrates the browsing and queue workflow. Its live mode calls the official YouTube API and filters video metadata; it doesn’t run an AI model. Download Tahpys and connect a supported model for the app’s AI planning, ranking and supported video digests.
What about TikTok and Instagram?
The app offers native search handoffs and supported account or link-library features. It cannot provide unrestricted keyword search across those platforms. Account integrations need developer-app setup and platform approval. Instagram’s account API requires a professional account.
Will the queue play every platform automatically?
YouTube can advance automatically when its player reports that playback ended. Other platforms depend on the events their official players expose. Instagram items require the Next control.
Where are my API keys stored?
The browser trial keeps the key only in memory for this tab. The local app stores your configured connections on your own computer. Keep your local configuration and backups private. Read the setup guide before upgrading an existing installation.
